Kip Jorgensen

Research Assistant, ISID

Kip Jorgensen is an MA student at McGill in Political Science, completing the Development Studies Option through ISID. His research interests focus primarily on migration, mobility, and displacement, especially related to environmental change. During his Undergraduate degree in Environmental Politics at the University of Victoria, Kip began work with migrants' rights organizations in Bangladesh in 2014 and 2015, and Myanmar in 2017. In Canada, he has worked extensively with World University Services Canada (WUSC) and the Migrants' Rights Network. Kip is currently researching and writing his MA thesis on environmental change and mobility in the Chittagong Hill Tracts - an ecologically distinct region of Bangladesh and former conflict zone.
